ktvan018 0 Posted January 26, 2004 I recently purchased an NDI OIl Cooler Kit for my VR6. It should be here in a day or two and I am very anxious to get working on it and putting it together to see the results. As any VR6 enthusiast knows or should know, the VR6 engine has the tendency to run hot even on normal conditions. So like I said before I cant wait to see the results and hopefully the results are worth my money. Before I get started on this new project, I wanted to see if anyone has any advice or helpful hints for this mod. It seems pretty strait forward and I dont believe that it wil require too much innovation, but I feel that I might run into some problems mounting the new aftermarket oil cooler to the wheel well and getting airflow to it which is what cools it. If anyone has done this mod and has any advice on what to look for or how to make the install a little easier please let me know. I appreciate any help. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted January 27, 2004 Depending on the size and shape of the cooler, you might be able to put it in-front of the radiator, which is where I put mine. There's a pic of the install buried in the forum somewhere..... I've not heard of NDI, so can't comment on them or their ease of installation I'm afraid. I was getting 114 degrees C cruising at 80mph but now I get 94 deg C for the same speed, so you're looking at a 20 deg drop if all goes well. Or probably more cause you guys use Farenheit....
