My fan motor is starting to sound like a cement mixer, is it about to let go?

 

If so, roughly how much are they? Should I replace the fan too?

 

And whilst I'm on the subject, what can I do to reduce my water and oil temps? I get seriously worried when sat in traffic as everything seems to run so hot.

If you don't mind non-VAG parts about £35-£40 for motor and blades.

 

From VAG it's £180 inc VAT - or at least it was when I got a quote two months ago.
