not a corrado

thought i would post up my other project its not a corrado im afraid

had it a few years now to many pictures to put up so I will just put up the latest pictures

 

still a long way off yet to complete but it wont be long

 

anyway heres some pictures let me know your views on it

little update today

got all the hoses plumbed in throttle body needed re-painting to never got managed to fit that

few brackets here and there

rad and fans fitted better

strut brace bolted on

lights fitted although the grill wont sit right on one side

 

heres one side sat nicely

also does this look normal or should it be sat back a bit more at the top

turned the brake fluid resovoir around so the strut brace does not get in the way

and i need to find a way to mount the header tank might make a bracket to fit from the strut brace

From what i remember from my mk2 owning days, the top of the grill does protrude slightly more than the bottom, so yeah, i think its normal.

 

Sweet looking mk2 with the perfect engine of choice.

and the grille is fine, all the mk2's i've had have been like that so it must be normal.

your front wings need adjusting to get the grill in... have you tried placing the bonnet (very, very, very carefully!) into location yet? Bet that the panel gap down the sides is closer at the front than at the rear... ;)

 

Grill should sit out further at the top than at the bottom, so that's pretty normal...

 

Nice looking project this... 8) although a white engine is gonna be an utter **** to keep clean! :eek: You could get an under-tray from a GTD MKII Golf which'd stop road crud getting into the bay and keep it somewhat cleaner though... ;)

had a nightmare fitting the doors today pretty difficult to do on your own

but there on anyway looks more like a car now

 

having a hard time getting the door handles to fit properly i bought some porsche door seals

still to small i think i need to cut part of the door to so they go on flush

 

anyway heres a couple of pictures i took wing is not lined up properly need to adjust it when i get a minute
