stingman123 0 Posted March 31, 2010 I've been looking on their website and I'm really keen to pay a visit, however......it's 200 miles away! Anyone know if there is a stealth alternative in the North? Ta
Dr Forinor 0 Posted March 31, 2010 None that I know of that I would rate as highly. I have travelled from Scotland to get to Stealth, twice, and on both accounts I don't regret it. In fact, if it was feasible, I would go there for even the simplest of the jobs.
stingman123 0 Posted March 31, 2010 How much notice do thay need to do any works etc? E.g if they are tuning or doing a full on fault finding and repairing excercise? Do you usually have to spend the night there while they work? ta
Dr Forinor 0 Posted March 31, 2010 Both times I let them know 2-3 weeks in advance at least. I reckon that's a minimum to be on the safe side dependant on how busy they but I reckon someone who knows Vince better than I do might be able to give you a better answer. In regards to how long I left it, well both times I had a lot of work done, the first time they had my car for over a week and the second time they had it for over 2 weeks, closer to 3 weeks I think it was. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 31, 2010 I don't think twice about my 150 mile each way journey to Stealth, which I've done more than a few times over 10 years now :D I've built up a good relationship with Stealth so I'm obviously going to big them up, but I like the journey anyway as it's a good way to assess the before and after :D
stingman123 0 Posted March 31, 2010 Thanks for the info, I'll have to plan it well in advance, I'll need another motor for a start! At least this will give me some time to save up......
greasegriff 0 Posted March 31, 2010 Mines booked in with them in 3 weeks for a week long stint. They're 120 miles from me but from what I've heard, they're the right people for the job. I'll let you know at the end of April when I get my serviced, 'charged, cammed, Schricked, LSD'd VR6 back!!!
