Annoying sqeak coming from boot/interior ! any ideas...?

Recommended Posts

Ive started to get a really annoying sqeak coming from the back of my corrado vr6 ! Its def in side but i just cant find it... anything common or ideas please !!??

I thought it was the spare wheel rubber against the metal but not that, then thought it was boot hydrolic lifter but there fine. Its only when im moving and going over bumps or ruffish roads etc so def a rubbing from somewhere !!

cheers !

If that doesn't work, take things out one by one until the squeaking stops. When it does eventually stop, it'll be the last thing you took out that was causing the squeaking. :D

i had the same problem for weeks,

had the whole thing stripped out at one point

and still had the squeek,

turned out to be the boot seal so

gave it a good coat of vasoline and all is quiet again

You can also adjust the two rubber 'stops' on the tailgate. They just twist in and out.

I've got a bloody irritating squeak at the moment, winding me up something rotten because its just at that right tone to hear over my music no matter how loud it is!
