umonkeyz 0 Posted April 8, 2010 hey, stange question but has anyone noticed the small hook/bracket on the underside of the cat coverter? ive got new coilovers on (still experimenting with ride height) and the cat is occasionally catching on my driveway lip and im wondering if i can just cut off the bracket to give me an extra few mm of clearance. im guessing a sports cat would be thinner and give better clearance? thanks :)
mattnorgrove 0 Posted April 8, 2010 Is it actually the Cat or just the heatshield that bolts to the underside of it? If its the shield I think you can just remove it. (Just don't park in any long dry grass afterwards  )

umonkeyz 0 Posted April 8, 2010 ahhh just found some pics of the cat heat shield, and i dont think i have one. its probably a hook that the shield mounts too.. ill prob just cut it off as i would nt like it to proper catch on a speed bump of something, better to have a smooth cat. (insert your own jokes :norty:
