AUDI Seat Question

Recommended Posts

can anyone help please..... before i make a prat of my self at the audi dealer :D

Just bought a brand new Audi A4 Avant S-line. It has the S-Line half leather / aracantara seats in it. However the passenger seat looks odd almost not been made right... It has 2 U shaped brackets at the back of the base of the seat.... I've not looked at any other cars like this at the moment.... And because it's got to go back for a few warranty issues i was debating to say anything....

The only other thought i had, is it may be for fixing a baby seat in ????? if so they look bloody awful at the base of these rather nice seats. there's nothing in the driver's manual.

can anyone advice before I say something stupid.

black metal squared hoops about 2" wide and 10" apart coming out of where the base meets the back? Sounds like Iso-fix baby seat fittings to me...

Bit like these? (yup, quick google there for you... ;) )

I'll try and get a pix up later (Currently locked out of Photo bucket)

they look like this which is in your webpage link but extrude at least 1 inch out into the base of the seat which looks pants.

Not the most flattering angle to be fair :) Do you have the seat well reclined?

Have you got the new caps for the rear ones (fitted on 2010MY)

No the seats are in the up right position, hence looking odd and crap. :gag:

The rears do have caps so do look nicer. It's an 2010 executive model in monza silver, with the new auto start / stop when you sit in traffic and at the lights. It's a lovely motor car!

Didnt think the isofix fittings stuck out at all, on the renaults i swear they are hidden in the seat fold, and can still be used fine. Seems a bit of an overkill to me.
