Headgasket..

Any chance of giving me a how to on doing a headgasket on a VR6? Me and a mate are going to give it a go this week and wondered,

 

1) What tools are needed

2) A rundown on the things to do

 

Help is massively appriciated and any tips welcome'd

btw ..

i'd get the head checked/skimmed once you have it off to make sure it is still true.

That way you have a good chance of the HG sealing once you put it back together.

here ya go mate, its fairly easy to do and can easily be done in a few hours, just dont rush it and if you start to get stressed just walk away and have a cuppa/fag

you need a "multi-spline" bit. i think that's the correct name - basically they look a bit like a torx bit but with 2-3 times the amount of teeth...

 

have a look at the head bolts and you'll see what i mean!
