DANG60 0 Posted April 30, 2010 i posted this up in the 20v thread so sorry for double posting. I figured more people might see it here. I have a 20v converted 2.0 16v. Now from what i have read the 16v fuel pumps do make a bit of noise, which mine does. my g60 never made any so its hard to compare. The car has misfired a couple of times under hardish acceleration. Im blaming the way ive been driving it as i tend to potter round in a high gear because it can. its only done it a few times and 99% of the time is fine. It just got me thinking though should i look at replacing the fuel pumps. Is it worth upgrading them, i read the standard ones are good for 330bhp so they should be fine. Ive just read that they can fail all of a sudden and dont want to melt a piston or something. Are they worth replacing or am i worrying about nothing? :confused4: Thanks
