9A Ignition coil... Struggling to find the correct type

Have the 9A coils been changed to a smaller, more modern type?

 

Mines given up the ghost and so looking for a replacement but can't seem to find one that matches the one currently fitted (Part nos : BOSCH 0221 600 064 + VW 535 905 115)

 

can I replace this with a Mk3 Golf/Mk4 Polo dry coil with built in module?

 

I'm not keen on this idea as I'm well aware of how unreliable these later coils are (they may as well be a service item!) but needs must as they say...

 

Also, eBay brought up an interesting find in a coil listed for the KR but looks like a Mk3 Golf one, albeit with the 3 pin plug at the rear (this would make sense considering the layout of the Corrado)
