Difference with VR6 and non VR6 Brake Pressure Regulators

Recommended Posts

They seem to be different in part numbers, why is this? Is it and external or internal difference?

The brake pressure regulator's I guess is different.

Among a few other things - the tension spring on the VR6 is much shorter then the one on the G60.

:)

is the tension spring under a different part number?

I need to know if i should use a vr6 regulator when fitting the vr6 rear subframe to a 16v chassis

I would presume that you should use the VR6 one - as I think they are also fitted a bit different.

f.ex the spring goes directly to a "bracket" that's on the beam itselfe - I think the other ones will have a loose bracket that the spring attatches to.

(The calve itselfe is also atatched with bolts going from inside out - where the others I think is fitted with bolts going from outside and in - The VR6 uses M8X60 bolts, and the others use M8x14).

My brake valve (VR6 version):
