back box, cutting bumber!

just bought new back box but it wont fit in the gap in bumber so what and hows the best way to cut/mod bumber. then spary and smooth...?

I've seen this done before, the best way is to get another bumper and use the cut out to extend your existing one. This means that you will still have the contours that leave everything looking OE. The down side is that you need to get your hands on a secondhand bumper just to use a little piece of it
