Halfmoon 0 Posted June 15, 2010 The car failed it's MOT on excessive emissions - not surprisingly, as it had a decat - so I'm fitting a new catalytic converter. Do I need to reset the ECU after it's fitted so the ecu know's that a cat has been refitted?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 15, 2010 Nope, the cat works independantly of the ECU 8) It's only the modern VWs that look at the exhaust gases post cat to make sure it's working.

wy906 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Hello from Brighton here!  Look out for a red 'rado round kemptown. (fingers crossed!) I live in Kemp Town! Have you just bought yours? I've never seen a red VR6 here, there is a red 16v by the seafront though.
Halfmoon 0 Posted June 16, 2010 It's been off the road since winter :( I'm near the Barley Mow & the car's normally round that area, but it's not badged as a VR6.
