Majik 0 Posted July 20, 2010 In this day and age where everything can be copied and produced i was wondering why anyone hasn't produced an aftermarket front splitter for the Corrado and if someone were to produce it what would be involved? The way i see it its only a single piece of plastic so how difficult would it be to produce, maybe the engineers and manufacturing guys would know this. G60_edge 0 Posted July 20, 2010 The tooling to produce such a part would cost a hell of a lot. At a complete guess +£30K, potentially quite a bit more. That's for metal tooling which is what the originals would have used. You could produce low production runs on other tooling (not metal), but the materials and finish are more limited and the end result probabaly wouldn't cut it. Far eastern manufacture could low costs, but it can (is!) a bit if a nightmare. Well, that's what I reckon anyway. I'd be interested to know if anybody has other thoughts.
