poll250 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Hopefully just a quickie! Went to go for Lunch earlier and the car wouldn't start. fuel pump was whirring and ecu relay 109 was clicking a lot. Obviously the car wouldn't start. I had a quick look under the bonnet to see if any wiring had gone astray and found this: My question is: would the Gearbox earth shearing cause a short in the electrics? the bare cable was resting on the gearbox support in the back of the photo so i don't really see why that would be an issue as it still essentially grounds to the gearbox. So is it just a coincidence? Ill get the ECU relay changed asap anyway, but that's going to take a couple of days to arrive and I just want to make sure I know what caused it. The car started fine again after 20 mins btw. Any ideas welcome!
