-Neil- 0 Posted July 27, 2010 I need some help. I'm trying to sell my corrado VR6, not really had any interest, and already lowered the price from £2900 to £2500 with 6 months tax added. I have a new car already and need to swap my insurance over, but if someone wanted to take mine for a test drive they couldnt as it has no insurance. Do i need to tax it either if no one can drive it, it could then save me £112 which i can knock off the price. but then buying a car with no tax can put ppl off, but i need to insure my new car. I just dont know what to do!! Neil
Portent 0 Posted July 27, 2010 I'm not sure on the insurance front (try phoning a specialist and discussing it with them?) but I'd keep the tax on it as that would put people off. As for the car it looks lovely. Perhaps it's missing leather door cards that might be putting people off? These will be hard to get hold of so you might want to consider selling the leather (replace with a standard interior) and probably make more money overall? Dunno, looks a nice car to me. wy906 0 Posted July 27, 2010 Temporary Cover. That’s what I did when I bought my C and selling my old car when there was a two-week overlapped period. Your existing insurance company should be able to help you with that. - Switch your existing policy to new car. - Add temporary cover to your C until you’ve sold it. My insurance company (Elephant) allowed me to extend it week-by-week. RE: Tax, I would leave it on the C if I was you cos as you’ve mentioned already, it would put people off. -Neil- 0 Posted July 27, 2010 yeah think ill have to tax it, leaves less questions to be asked about it. the only reason for insurance would be test drive, so i could maybe get a day insurance for that? but then the person testing it would have to have fully comp insurance. What this man said, i'd either buy the doorcards or sell the rest of the interior and drop the price. Good luck fella.
-Neil- 0 Posted July 27, 2010 hmm, cant really be bothered with taking the dash out to remove the heated seat wiring, getting door cards to match would be perfect, but i dont have £150 to do this, so thats not a option either unfortunately. I have just taxed it online, so thats that sorted. Guess its just a waiting game.
KIPVW 0 Posted July 27, 2010 Have you tried piston heads Neil?

Defo get the door cards at £150 you would be mad not to mate. I would make it as standard as possible. If you can raise the ride height I would do that also.
