TT Wishbone Bushes query

I've just removed my first (old) wishbone rear bush, I notice that the diameter of the bolt hole is significantly wider than it is for my new TT/R32 bush. Is this right, should there have been a sleeve in the old one? The bolt is a really sloppy fit in the old bush bolt hole.

Yeah that's right, it's weird but the subframe is meant to hold it better than the MK2's that had the sleeves.

 

TT bushes are the way forward though - better handling, braking stability with none of the issues you get from fitting poly

if you look inside the subframe there is a little 'C' (appropriately!) shaped raised bit, this seems to locate the bush and negates the need for the sleeve.

I worried about this first time I changed a bushing, but put back together everything was nice and tight and responsive on the steering, so definately no movement of the bush on the bolt.
