Engine sounds like its pulsing at idle ,and misfires bad on

Hello :)

This problem came out of the blue , i was driving the car fine and then all of the sudden it started misfiring and juttering big style.

When i stopped i let it idle and it sounded like the revs were pulsing up and down ever so slightly and then when i drove it again it got even worse. the revs completely dropped and it stalled,this happened twice,the car is now undrivable.

 

Got to my workshop removed the potentiometer out of its intake pipe when the car was running and it made NO difference , could that be whats making this happen.

 

Checked vaccum lines, idle and wot switch,all pipes are intact no air leaks

its a G60 that i fitted to my mk1.

I checked the plugs and its deffinately running rich too, but not burning oil from a faulty charger, the charger is freshly built.

mine is doing the same ( viewtopic.php?f=1&t=89083 )

i replaced the POT with a new one (£80!) and it didnt make a difference, so I'll be following this thread lol
