alternators for g60 what amp??

what amp are the alternators in a g60 corrado k reg does it matter if it the right one

supposed to be 90 but 60 is fine

65A is the standard, but he 90A one is ideal if you do loads of short journeys (and a lot harder to find second hand).

only air con cars came with 90a , std is 65 amp

Really. Starnge that - my G60 had air con which I thought was quite rare, but that only had a 65A one when I got it. Had to search for ages before finding a 90A one in a scrappy.

nope ive got an early shape with a 90 amp on

 

with no air con seems to be what ever vw had in the parts bin at the time

Was the 90 amp used on anything else? I've got a feeling i need a replacement but still have some checks to do..

well if its a g60 one there expensive cus of it running off the supercharger belt i was getting quotes of around 150 to 190 exchange

only came on g60 engines..so golfs/rado/rallye

 

its the same internaly as many other bosch units , any repair place should be able to refurb it , or new brush packs usualy restore full power
