recent service

Recommended Posts

Hey

Just had my car fully serviced and my new exhaust fitted for a grand total of £220

Is this a good price? He is a VW approved and has a VW stamp and is a german performance specialist.

The parts needed where

engine oil

flushing oil

oil filter

plugs

fuel filter and seals

distributer cap & rotor arm

brake fluid

exhaust sealant

If it is a good price then it maybe useful info for Leeds/ Bradford based Corrado owners and I could post his details up.

if he's VW-approved then he'll be a VW-dealer  .....AFAIK VW only approve VW dealers for servicing/mech.repairs etc they won't "approve" any other garage.........so in other words his "VW" stamp isn't really "aunthentic" as such.....but if he does a good job cheaply then its not a problem......it just means that you don't have any recourse to "complain" to VW if there is any "issues" with mechanical repairs/servicing probs .........tho the only other way he might be VW approved is if he also has a bodyshop and is VW approved for body repairs etc

Thought it was quite reasonable and it was what i budgeted for. If anyone in the Leeds area wants to know then I can forward the address.

Cheers

i'd expect to pay up to £100 for that service from a non specialist garage, vw parts are ten a penny from GSF or ECP.

Which exhaust was replaced and what quality is the replacement?
