VR6 oil filter

My local stealers want full retail for one £13.67. Can genuine items be bought elsewhere for less????. They do seem to be very competitive on oil though- quantum 5w40 platinum £18.86.

Try TPS if there is one near you. £6.40 for a genuine filter :)

Yep agree, TPS are the ones to go and see. There's one at Marsh Barton Exeter Darren. Service items are very good value.

Yes I did call my local TPS and they said i had to prove I was a mechanic or worked at a garage!!!!!! Any tips !!!!

walk in with oily hands and dirty overalls... or use VWSpares. google it but not a VAG part.

GSF sell the same ones but make sure you take that Mann part number with you as they also always sell the wrong filter for the Corrado VR

I have always believed that the oil filter is probably the most important thing you can bolt to a car and have always stuck to OE items. I know that the Mann ones are 'probably' as good but I would rather not go for an alternative.
