corradophil 3 Posted December 14, 2010 After fitting a Schrick sump did the oil temperature reduce? My oil temps are a little higher than what would appear to be ideal (106 deg C in normal driving, and up to 120 deg C when driven hard), but I don't really want to fit an external oil cooler, because of clearance issues for the oil filter and additional plumbing. Schrick say their aluminium finned sumps offer additional cooling, but in the real world do they have any usefull effect i.e. reduce oil temps by at least 5-10 deg C?
