carrots 1 Posted January 22, 2011 ive had no end of probs with my cooling system, changed the oil cooler last week.since then ive been flushing the water out to clear the oil out of the water.i thought all was fine but could be wrong :( .the temp rises as it should and the heater warms up,but once the car gets to its proper running temp the heater starts to get cooler.could it be them valves just before the matrix, can these be fixed.it would be nice to have a week the car dont brake lol
AlgarveVR6 0 Posted January 22, 2011 thats a possibilty I think, but also consider that the thermostat will open whent he car gets up to running temp, so could also be related there. possible air lock somewhere, try running for a bit with the header tank cap off. also leave cap off after you turn it off, sometimes only moves as it cools down there may be a bleed valve somewhere, but not sure. Anyone help on that one
carrots 1 Posted January 22, 2011 went out to check water and it was low, topped it up and heater seems fine now so could of been an air lock
