dkingvr6 0 Posted January 29, 2011 Havent driven the Vr for six months as been getting her ready for when i can drive again (medical thing), just started driving this week and noticed that the clutch feels a bit strange and the pedal box emmits a noise, sounds like and feels like the master cylinder is sticking on the upwards and downs wards strokes, as if there is no lubrication in bore of the piston, is this common or is it a case of trying a bleed through first, then if that fails new master cylinder??? If so GSF one or genuine? Cheers all
Supercharged 2 Posted January 29, 2011 You may find it's the pedal that's sticking on something like the shelf - look at this first then bleed as you say...
dkingvr6 0 Posted January 29, 2011 just been digging around under the dash and yes the shelf is rubbing slightly, then realised it was so cold outside that i didnt want to be there anymore, so will look when the Earth warms up a bit more :)
dkingvr6 0 Posted January 31, 2011 update - have figured out that the clutch pedal noise is coming from the master cylinder, but only once the car is up to temperature, have also noticed there is no heat shield around the master cylinder in the engine bay, has anyone else got this problem? Was thinking of making a heatshield up cheers
