Needs some tweaking on the cold start/idleing

Cheers wompa

Looked at the cold start issue & looks like its the isv after a quick clean

gonna have another go at cleaning it or replace it

Had a nosey at the sunroof as was told it was faulty,

That looks like the typical fault so needs a repair kit

Heater panel lights weren't working, wiring wasnt plugged in so easy fix

Cars been sat for couple of weeks doing nothing, passenger carpet is wet so gonna look into that,

Having a 9A engine delivered today that i'm gonna give a refresh to, and do a few bits & bobs then get it fitted

Welcome back cheesy, thats a really nice straight original Corrado you have there. What sort of economy do you get according to the MFA, will be in UK this summer with a 16v on the shopping list and would be interested to know! Just done 1000km to Madrid and back and got 33 mpg with the cruise control set at 130kmh.....good luck with the car!

today was just to spend a few hours doing a few bits and pieces

So Old sunroof cassette out & the B4 Passat moonroof in

Really easy job to do, airlined out the drain holes

My o.e motor is dead so bolted the passat one up for the time being till a replacement is bought

I've been trying to get the tumblers to retumbler a couple of locks but vw wanted £50

Stripped down the glove box and went old skoll on the barrel. smoothed down worked at treat

Boot lock, well stripped it down gave it all a damm good clean and was fine just got that much crud in it,

it wasn;t operating off the key

does now so good couple cheap fixes

Replaced the seal round the heater ventilation in scuttle bay, old one had seen its day

Tracked down the ABS to a blown bulb, put my test light onto it and stays on all time so need to get the abs ecu read & new bulb unit

thats about all for today, few more bits to look at next week on me days off

Not done anything with this for a while,

work & health getting the way

But have fitted g60 brakes, mk4 rear calipers

new solid brake pipe from abs

Had the broken windscreen removed to see the extent of rust damage underneath that needed attention

Then had the bodyshop work there magic ready for the new windscreen going in

looks like you got that rust in time, mine needed welding! and extended further up towards the trim, how much did it cost you to have the screen removed if you dont mind me asking? it took me an a m8 3 hours to cut mine out, was roight a pita , mainly because trim peices were glued in by a screen fitter and my wire kept on getting snagged on em :(

The metal was still solid, bodyshop said there were 2 very small holes appearing at bottom of pass a pillar which they have sorted

windscreen was removed by auto windscreens on insurance, they were happy to come out, take the cracked one out then come back few days later after the work had been done just for the cost of the glass cover on my policy

the screen that was in had been overly added with sealant & may the fitter swear a couple of times on removal, took him about an hour to remove

ah right ok, so your screen needed replaceing anyway? so at the same time you got the rust sorted! 2 birds 1 stone ;)

take a look at my thread,http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?56705-my-vr6-Shed-on-Wheels-../page4 on page three you can see the bubbles which were prety nasty!! and holes where you described aswell! think because its on a curve and the metals thinner maybe?
