Will a VR6 fit into a mk1 Octavia?

Recommended Posts

Someone i know is asking this question but doesn't know who to get a decent answer from.

Anyone know much on the subject?

am sure the size won't be an issue, but what about mounts etc?

Not sure. The Superb runs the 3.2 and so does the Leon in Europe. Leon is the same floorpan.

MK1 Octavia uses the MK4 Golf platform if I'm not mistaken, in which case the VR6 will definitely fit in it, with the obvious caveats being bonnet and slam panel clearances etc.

Yes it does - whilst it uses the same floorpan as the Mk4 Golf the slightly longer front overhangs provide fractionally more space

Is that a sad face because you know 3Corsameal, or because you own an Octavia?

Stick a turbo to the back of that VR6 and all will be right in the world :D

I think Robin would be better off buying a corrado, its lighter than the octavia, better looking and you get a 2.9 VR6 pre fitted, all for
