poll250 0 Posted March 15, 2011 Looking for a cheap VR6 flywheel close to Oxford to send off to be lightened. If anyone has one I can borrow, then give back the one out of my car when Stealth swap them over that would be even more excellenter! :)
jonrb 0 Posted March 22, 2011 I have a standard flywheel for sale if you want it. It came off my VR6 when I had a Fidanza flywheel fitted and I sold the car with the Fidanza on. Not sure if the sums will add up as I'm down near Fleet & Camberley in Hampshire and it's a heavy bugger to post, but PM me if you're interested. (Probably doing myself out of a sale here, but why on earth are you taking the risk of lightening a stock part when you could buy a Fidanza from the states?) jonrb 0 Posted March 23, 2011 Blimey - you'll spend half of that £30 on postage. It weighs just over 8kgs!
Purple Tom 0 Posted March 23, 2011 Not if you use parcel2go.com and send it by courier - £7 and jobs a good'un... Thats what I did when sending the flywheel requested on this very thread ;)
jonrb 0 Posted March 23, 2011 Worth knowing. Thanks for that.
Purple Tom 0 Posted March 23, 2011 I was sceptical about using them as they are a freight forwarder (send lots of items and therefore qualify for bulk discount with companies such as DHL/UPS/HDNL etc) and working in the business previously left me wary of F/F's...however I've sent 6 items with them now and every one has been delivered with no issues so far, so I'd go as far as to say I would recommend them :)
swiftkid 1 Posted March 24, 2011 Can I add my name to the list of people wanting a cheap flywheel please, saves me making another thread
StueyB 0 Posted March 24, 2011 I'll throw my name in the bucket then also. Have a flywheel currently attached to a spare VR engine which I'm willing to remove. Has done around 100k. £30 + courier cost.
