ASHLEY G 0 Posted April 14, 2011 I've just installed a VF9 charger to My MK2 VR6, and it seems that the belt alignment is out. I've just been reading through the fitting guide and there is a mention that on some engines there is a need to use a spacer on the mounting bracket. Does anyone have one of these that they didn't need? Or am I more likely not going to find one and have something made? PM Me if you have one and will sell it to Me! Cheers, Ash
StueyB 0 Posted April 14, 2011 My bro is right in the middle of his V9 supercharger conversion, will be seeing him later so will have a word. I know for a fact he's spent some time adjusting various things with regards the pulley setup to get the belt to run perfectly true. Will get some pics later and an explanation for you. buttles 0 Posted April 17, 2011 If it's the bracket to head you are asking about I used a plain washer under each of the three bolts. Sat true and was never an issue.
ASHLEY G 0 Posted April 29, 2011 Now sorted, thanks for the input! I bought an aluminium door push from Wickes for £2.38, made a template up and made some spacers. Belt now runs true!
