liamtg60 10 Posted April 18, 2011 Havnt ran my 1.8 for few months nw and started it up other day because its due its m.o.t Everything started up ok then for sum reason the car started Idling at 4000rpm Ive tryed everything to fix it does anybody kno wat it is or has had the same prob?? mimjed 0 Posted April 18, 2011 tough one, they all seem to do it at some point. assuming it is a g60.... check throttle cable, butterfly valve on throttle body, unplug isv/check for buzz with ignition on (likely cause), unplug blue temp sender, check for air leaks on inlet mani. check for damage to vac hoses from throttle body (fairly likely). i have a couple of isv's and have some vac hose in the garage. I was thinking a 1.8t or for ease vr6 conversion. obviously im asking questions in rite place as i can imagine few conversions hav been done here????
