adolf1976 0 Posted April 28, 2011 hi all. Been a while since ive been on but im back. I have a clunkin from the front drivers wheel. Mainly when steering at low speed . Any ideas on what it is. havnt had a look yet as i got trapped nerve in my spine. Gonna be a painful weekend
domwells27 0 Posted April 28, 2011 Is it louder when steering on full lock? could be the CV joint, but they tend to click. When possible its worth jacking the car up and looking for any play in the bushes, top mounts and ball joints
boost monkey 0 Posted April 28, 2011 CV joints can sound like a drum roll, but if you're going slow enough it would sound like dnk...dnk...dnk....dnk. Jack it up and grab the driveshaft and try twisting it.
