boost monkey 0 Posted July 10, 2011 So I'm off to Africa on wednesday to get married :D As I'm away for 3 weeks, I'm thinking it's the perfect time to throw the car at a garage (esp as i'm now working and have some £££!) and get them to do the cambelt and time everything after. What costs am I looking at? I've already bought a Gates Powergrip cambelt kit for the car, c/w belt, tensioner and tensioner bolt so ihopefully i'm just looking at labour. Cheers, Jon. ---------- Post added at 09:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:40 PM ---------- Forgot to add, if they're a bosch specialist i'd like them to look at the tuning too (I know you've shown me a lot, tony_ack!) as they might as well seeing as they'll have to re-time the whole engine. Vw.bones 10 Posted July 10, 2011 Hi ya Jon shouldnt be more than a couple of hours labour cambelt change is an easy job checking the timing obviously needs the correct tools but I wouldnt expect much more than £120 £140 for labour. Bones.
