Rear hub/wheel fitment

Recommended Posts

First of all hi i am the proud owner of a newly purchased one owner satin silver VR6, but unfortunately it has a set of hideous wheels on it but i didn't see this as a problem as i had a set of 16" BBS RX2's in 5x100 with a 57.1 centre bore to go on it, but when i have come to fit them they will not go over a hump on the rear hub as if the centre bore of the wheel is too small, is this normal? as i have seen these wheels fitted to a corrado numerous times although i can't be sure if they were VR6's (if that even makes a difference) Please help as the car is now looking lovely except for one of the most visual parts of it.

Welcome to the forum!

They should be the perfect wheel on a Corrado - are you sure the other wheels didn't have spiggot rings that have left themselves attached to the hub?

That's what i thought was the problem at first but it's as if the spiggots were metal and have welded themselves to the hub, i'm gonna get some photo's tommorrow, judging by your reply something is amiss...

Sorted it, you were right the spiggot rings had been left on the hub but they were steel spiggots ??? never seen anything like it in my life what a stupid idea, they've come off after some gentle persuasion from mr hammer, just to decide what colour to paint the RXII's now?
