Wouldit be as powerful or a waste of time ? If you geared it down with a smaller pulley to make use of fact that its a smaller engine. Chris VR6nos 0 Posted March 17, 2004 Tee-Hee I have that kit on my VR, stage 1 costs £2500 plus £500 fitting and runs at 6psi but can go to 23psi, this over feeds the VR6 with positive pressure so i think it would give a bit too much to the 1.8 engine unless you put a bigger pulley on to lower the gear ratio but what's the point, it's a VR charger! Who would pay 2500 quid for 20bhp? There was a bloke called tom ingram had a supercharged vr which had a proven 274bhp. Dunno what stage he was running though...
