Universal backbox - as an interim replacement

I'm after a replacement back box as an interim measure. I have seen this

Please can you share your views on a back box like this as a short term replacement?

Looking at the pic there's no pipe coming out the back of the box to attach it to the existing exhaust. Unless there's a flexi pipe part of the fitting kit they provide.
