Having Trouble With Ticking Over. HELP Needed!!

Hi guys

 

I'm having trouble with my VR ticking over and we are putting it on Vagcom tomorrow.

Does anyone know if there is an adaption or basic setting number for the throttle position??

And does anyone know a good air mass reading figure??

 

It all started when it wouldnt tick over when cold and missed abit at low revs so we thought we would give everything a clean throttle body, MAF ect and after putting it all back together it wont tick over at all now,

 

If anyone could help that would be great.

Took it all apart yesterday and we found that there is a black box that should be full of foam but it only had a small bit init, that might be something to do with it.

She ticks over now but will cut out sometimes when changing gears??

Has anyone else had this and could help me please??

That's your problem right there! The foam has been sucked into the pipes/ISV. Take off all the pipes and ISV and make sure they're all clear of foam. Give the ISV a clean with carb cleaner/petrol etc whilst you're at it.
