sexybourbon 0 Posted March 3, 2012 I dont know about awsome but i strongly reccomend not going to ricci concept !! Apart from the guy who owns it there being a arrogant tail whos only happy if hes got a 911 on his ramps , when i had my valver i i asked him to quote me for a 1.8 turbo conversion , this was his answer ...... Yes it will be 8 to 10 thousand without a remap !!! And that was last year and it was that price if i supplied the engine lol , i walked out
Macdaddy 10 Posted March 4, 2012 I've used Awesome-Gti for years for parts, servicing and also fitting of bits. They are all enthusiasts too and appreciate your pride and joy. Been to many events there, know most of the staff and cant recommend them enough. I used to take both R32's there for servicing rather than a main dealer. Jim 2 Posted March 4, 2012 I would only consider a visit to Stealth Racing (near Coventry) or DG Autotech (near Kidderminster) with my Corrado - both of these companies work on Corrado's every day and know them inside out. You'll be in excellent hands using either of them and both are not a million miles from a train station if you need to drop the car off and get back home.. VeenixTwin 10 Posted March 9, 2012 Cheers for the response guys. It would be so much easier if I didn't live out in the sticks!!
swiftkid 1 Posted March 9, 2012 Where abouts do you live? Ricci concept is hull based and they are a useless bunch of ripping off (insert profanity here). Only ever used them once to get flywheel bolts and that was a mighty task in itself. For the parts you talk about there are plenty of places to choose from, try and find a place doing the 'back to the 90's pricing' on KW's if they are still doing it, I bought mine from Gwerks but they are no more sadly. I buy a lot of my servicing bits from AVS car parts and cannot recommend the guy enough, everytime I buy something it arrives as soon as humanly possible and his prices are excellent. I would maybe look at going second hand for brakes as you will most probably cry when you see the price, also its a good opportunity to upgrade. (mk3/4 front 288mm brakes and mk4 rears... plenty of info on the site about the upgrades) Hope that helps.

Already building up a pile of parts, got the Mk4 callipers and hoses and so on, got new bushes mountings etc.... Just deciding what suspension kit to go for.
