Lee Rees 10 Posted March 20, 2012 Hi guys, I was wondering if you could take a look at this pic, it's of my 93 2.9 Corrado. I do have idling probs (horrible idling and stalling) and have yet to diagnose the prob, however I found the following cable just hanging there, what do you think it could be for? Rams 0 Posted March 20, 2012 Dont those wires join up just below the connector in the picture below? You can just make out the terminals in the top of it. Probably need to re crimp that connector. It's sandwiched between the hose again just below where your holding the wiring. That controls vacuum I believe or something along those lines and could be why you have problems. KIPVW 0 Posted March 20, 2012 That hose with the clips doesn't look right either.
Lee Rees 10 Posted March 20, 2012 The end which im holding between my fingers doesn't join to anything, it's bare exposed wire. ---------- Post added at 7:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:22 PM ---------- KIPVW can you ellaborate on the hose, what doesn't look right about it? MattPc 0 Posted March 20, 2012 (edited) That connector going into the TB pipe is for cold climate cars, it's just a dummy connector shell in the UK cars. that intake hose is the same as the golfs, seemed that some corrado's have them aswell. Idle stabilisation valve may need looking at for bad idle problems. Edited March 20, 2012 by MattPc
