nedssx 0 Posted April 29, 2012 Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but i'd like to know what parts are required to transplant a r32 motor into a 1992 16v, sorry if this has been asked before, ive had a look around the forum but couldnt find a clear answer. Or would it be easier to just buy a vr6 and put the engine into that?
carrots 1 Posted April 29, 2012 i was chatting to a lad that bought a vr6 golf 2.8 £500 .then fitted the the engine etc in the corrado ,scraped the golf for £250.reckons its the best thing he has done to it.it did sound rather nice and only cost £250 he said
Erny 0 Posted April 29, 2012 Just the same basic parts as a mk2 vr6 swap. Then look at vr6 to r32 swaps to clear up the smaller details. Bucket loads of info out there. Do you plan to stay 4 or 5 stud? At very least Your going to need a vr6 subframe. Vr6 gearbox vr6 flywheel and clutch. Larger brakes. Rado Vr6 radiator, vr6 rear engine bracket. R32 engine and wiring and management. Exaust manifold and downpipe that fits. Ive never done an r32 swap so cant comment on what parts of the water system are needed.
