If my memory is correct.

 

Remove the trim on the inside of the tailgate and you should be able to release the clips from there

if you mean the glue bit then it can be done..... but take your time & use some heat beforehand.

Yep hot water poured behind it once the upper clips are off from the kettle softens it nicely ;) be careful though.

Resurrection. ....

100% go with hot water. After disconnecting the nuts on the back, I tried heating it up and fishing line wire. Felt like it was going to break. .

So boiling hot water poured down the back softened the fixing and made it bendy enough for me to get my hand in and cut the adhesive. Easy and took 10 mins
