Fuel filter change....any advice?

Recommended Posts

Hi out there, are there any possible gotchas changing the fuel filter? Looks like a straightforward job but remembering what happened to my Rocco (RIP) when the fuel pipe disintegrated and i caused an emergency incident as petrol sprayed everywhere in the services (funny now but not at the time) :-) It is a 2L/16 with the fuel filter next to the rear pump :-)

Cheers

Before attempting to undo the banjo bolts and filter retaining bracket pinch bolt, soak them all in penetrating fluid to release any hold corrosion has on them.
