craigm1988 10 Posted June 5, 2012 Firstly, apologies if this is a re-post as I seem to remember somebody asking this before but I can't find it now. I've got 16v, which has been standing for a while, and the gearstick is stuck in the 'down' reverse position so I can't select first or second. I've been told its a simple fix involving a plastic clip but after taking the casing apart this morning I can't seem to find anything plastic at all. any help would be appreciated! daves16v 1 Posted June 5, 2012 Sounds like you have something missing, could be the spring on the actual shaft or the spring retaining clip is missing/broken. Pull the surround up and you should be able to see it clear as day, it will be close to the top of the shaft just under the gear knob. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
