VR6 Cam removal: Novice Question.

Good Morning All,

 

Another typical novice VR owner question here: Can the Cam's be removed without removing the G/box?

In other words is it possible to access the double chain tensioner for removal?

Yes it is, you need to remove the timing chain top cover in order to remove the sprockets from the cams but it does not require removal of the gearbox. Unless you're doing the chains/tensioners at the same time of course!
