Mike16v 10 Posted August 1, 2012 I know it's kind of difficult to describe how heavy your steering is but... The steering on my 16v is pretty heavy when moving slowly, almost to the point that it feels like there is no assistance at all when parking. It's the only Corrado I've ever driven so not sure if it's a problem or if it's normal for these cars. It feels fine when driving and I'm not getting any noise from the pump or belt. Should I be looking for a fault or it is it the normal state of affairs?
carrots 1 Posted August 1, 2012 mines heavy,i think its due to the wider tyres and the age of it.my works van turns easy compared to the corrado
dr_mat 0 Posted August 11, 2012 Corrados are known for the steering being a bit "weighty", particularly compared to most modern cars. There are plenty of reasons why yours might be worse than other Corrados, however.. usually the rack itself, but could also be the pump unit.
