Rinse 0 Posted September 4, 2012 My PCV has split so I've decided to just put a breather on it and block off the intake elbow. This pipe was previously going nowhere (i suspect) so can I just block off this vaccum with a bolt in the end of it? Cheers ---------- Post added at 11:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:26 AM ---------- Photobucket appears to be playing up. It's the pipe thats shaped: _n_ that comes from the throttle body and connects to the top of the PCV.
Critical_Mass 10 Posted September 4, 2012 The longer side of that pipe goes under the inlet pipe and to a valve. Dont think its as simple as blocking it off that far back.
Rinse 0 Posted September 4, 2012 Just found this http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5727065-DIY-EVAP-and-PCV-Delete-for-OBD-II-VR6 Which says to just cap it off. Seems to run okay with it plugged so just going to do that.
Stonejag 10 Posted September 4, 2012 The far end goes to the carbon canister valve. If you haven't got a carbon canister you can just block it up.
