car starts but will not tickover?

hi lads

 

just got back from a 15mile bit of a high speed jauny parked my 95k vr6

up a slite hill and now it starts but instantly cuts out?

any ideas?

thanx for the reply james will try that how will i be able to listen to pump primeing

is it under the drivers seat?

also ive noticed that the spoiler is stuck half way!

and will not move via the switch! no problem with it before this!

is this related ie fuse or something else

Is your sunroof working? Sunroof and spoiler are on the same fuse (16 if I remember).

 

If it starts it's not spark, so fuel or immobiliser more likely. Relay for the fuel pump maybe? You can hear a noisy pump near the fuel cap or from under the rear bench, but a good pump I almost silent anyway.

where is the fuses located?

also wot does the coil reader connection look like? how to i actually get at it?

ive taken my bentley book to work and iam off today!! 1st day off for bloody ages and i need the bloody thing

Fuses are under the right hand tray below the steering column. There are two square lugs to pull down and out then slide the tray out to show the fuses and relays.

changed fuse 16 car now running perfect again

hi mate

looking to get a respray at some point

 

any ideas of a good shop local to us?

 

also it needs new front discs!! it wobbles like hell wen i brake after 60mph up

also looking to change to h & r springs and bilstein shocks wen funds allow

Sounds like the classic immobiliser problem again - another vote for that from me.

 

If the car starts and runs as normal for like 1 second then just cuts out, then it's likely to be it.

I know a few body shops locally but not cheap to be honest you get what you pay for when it comes to spraying.

 

Suspension wise Dave Coe in gorseinion are good for setting up a car. I got Andrew at kingsway to fit my weitecs then dave did the geo.
