Converting 'general error' to new forum url?

and make it work?

I've wondered the same as I'm forever coming across them...Can a 301 redirect be done?

That is the old phpBB site which no longer exists (database or the actual site) - so you can't do a simple redirect...

Your best bet is to view a cached version in Google if you can or find that post/topic within the site now -- everything was transferred, but topic ID numbers would be different in the new system.
