Byrd 10 Posted June 27, 2013 Hi, looking to replace the housing on my vr6 where the three temp senders fit in, is this called the thermostat housing? What I need to know is, is this part the same on my 2.9 as the one on the 2.8 golf 3 vr's..? Replaced the yellow temp sender to my water temp gauge and it works!!!! :cheers: however the sensors fit very loosely due to what looks like some former abuse.... VR6 Gar 10 Posted June 28, 2013 Did you replace the rubber 'o' rings as well? So long as there is no leaking then it aint a problem them being a bit loose. I replaced mine and re used all O rings but only 2 of them sealed. 1 new O ring later and the rather large leak was gone. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
