mmacneill123 0 Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) Hi folks - definitely a techie question, anyone know the operating current of the blower motor? I know the fuse is 20A but I am sure the motor on its own will not pull anywhere near that as the blower resistors would be huge to cope with that :-) Remarkably, it looks like the motors could pull over 10-20A after a rake about in the EOS forum of all things...got a painful problem of a defective heater control switch and am investigating alternatives... Short of measuring it I have drawn a blank trying to find the Watt rating of the motor...any educated bods out there?? :-) Edited July 16, 2013 by mmacneill123 Blower motor may actually guzzle 15A
vonslack 10 Posted July 18, 2013 I thought I had a faulty fan/fan control switch it, would only run on no. 4 setting turned out to be the thermal fuse that is soldered inside the fan motor housing. cost less than a pound from maplins.
