Oil cooler advice?

Recommended Posts

Going to fit my V9 charger next week but in this hot weather I've been getting oil temps as high as 116c and so I'm thinking of fitting an oil cooler too while I'm at it.

Seen this one on eBay and the parts look decent. What do you guys think?

Cheers

Looks good to me, though I'm no expert. I'd go at least 16 row with a charger though unless you'll be doing track days regularly.

Might be worth running a thermostat built into the sandwich plate if your running it through the winter months heard of people having really low oil temps in the cold

Thanks guys, 16 row was my plan. I don't use the car much in winter (garaged) and I have heard the charger warms things up quickly as the V9 is plumbed into the cars oil system.

Do you have an open grille? helped me keep cool this summer :)

Grille is open, and oil temp is normally 105-110 when it's not 30c outside but I was thrashing a Boxster on the way back yesterday and saw 116c

Cheers for the heads up on JJC, I use JJC a fair bit, good company but haven't got time to buy in bits this time as really busy!
