vw bobby 10 Posted August 14, 2013 Hi all, I have a 1991 corrado 1.8 16v and have got a stainless steel exhaust system on there at the moment. Basically my car is sitting very low and the centre box scrapes alot (i think). I also get a tinny noise when I move off in 1st gear and when there is a uneven road surface. The exhaust is loose, so I need to change the exhaust mountings. So I am assuming its just my centre box scraping the floor or is there a heat plate that could be loose and making this noise. Basically can I remove this centre box and put a straight pipe in for a replacement and only run the rear box? And is there a heat plate, that could be making this tinny noise? All help is really appreciated Cheers Bobby
Critical_Mass 10 Posted August 14, 2013 Best to stick your head underneath mate and have a look. Is it the suitcase box that youre on about removing? you can remove sections, but it will affect the noise.
